I would definitely recommend coming to this restaurant, especially if you’re from out of town like we are the chicken fried steak and chicken tender meal was to die for everything was freshly made. Sweet tea was super good honestly one of the best sweet teas I’ve ever tasted in my life.!! our waitress was super sweet and made us feel welcome. Not out of place even though you can tell we were not from here. LOL I definitely recommend to try the desserts as well and to grab it as soon as you get seated because once you are done with your dinner. They will most likely not be any left lol that’s how good it is.!
We enjoyed our first visit here. Everything we ordered was delicious. The CFC was lightly breaded, crispy, and juicy. The biscuits are fluffy and flaky, crispy and flavorful. The gravy is the perfect consistency and flavorful. The pies are dang delicious. And to top it off, Patricia gave great friendly service! My only complaint, the breeze of the ceiling fans… but that’s not that big of an issue.
A homey, family friendly restaurant with really delicious food. We had chicken fried steak with all the “fixins “. Casual atmosphere and great service. They have a good reputation for their homemade pies!
As far as quality of food to the quality of service, Cast Iron Grill tops them all. In fat, the single biggest negative about this place is that they close so early in the day (2:00 pm). First of all, it’s a pretty easy to access location and there are loads of parking spots to choose from. But, beware, the lot is always full because of this place is always busy. They serve breakfast in the morning and lunch in the afternoon. The food is phenomenal and the service from the people is great. Everyone is super personable and always has a smile on their face. They do a great job at keeping this location clean. Overall, a great experience. You should decide to come eat here if you’re looking around. You’ll be glad that you did.
Had a fantastic meal here recently. The food was absolutely delicious and hit the spot perfectly. I was especially impressed with the onion rings. They were cooked to perfection and had a great crunch. Everything else served at our table looked just as good. I am already looking forward to my next visit to this spot. It is a great place for a satisfying meal.
Have u ever had a taste for something and you just had to have it? Well today was that day, and no Lubbock dust storm was gonna stop us . Okay here we go... Our son in law had the Philly with onion rings( I had to borrow one), my wife had the Patty Melt with fries( I borrowed a few of those too) and I had the Mushrooms Swiss Burger with homemade chips. Food and service is always really good here. So u might say get out in a dust storm for this? But no, it was for the coconut cream pie and coffee. If you haven't had a slice or two of their pies you are not living right. P.S. this is a good place to get a meal and walk away satisfied. P.P.S. where's the pic of the pie? Well your just gonna have to go there and get a slice. Buon Appetito!
I'll admit, when first walked in, was having second thoughts and wasn't entirely feeling the vibe. However, Destinee completely turned that around the moment she welcomed me! She was incredibly professional, kind, and friendly, truly going above and beyond to deliver amazing service. The food was absolutely delicious-I ordered the brisket sandwich, fries, and the strawberry banana pie, and everything was spot on. I also really loved the unique touch of having different Bible verses displayed around the restaurant, including on the to-go Cups, I know I'm protected. As a quick heads-up for the team, the restroom had run out of hand soap. I actually found the large refill bottle behind the door and took care of it for them! Overal, Destinee and the food made this a fantastic experience. I'm definitely coming back!"
We went in for breakfast and it was a great experience! All the food was incredible the service was fast and very friendly. The Waitresses all help each other and we're genuinely nice during the food was affordable also. May have been the best breakfast biscuit I've ever had with my biscuits and gravy
It was our first time here, we had grill lemon pepper Salmon and meatloaf with pinto beans and fried okra. The salmon, meatloaf and okra were delicious. We were debating whether the pinto beans were can or house made. Service was spot on and we would like to come back and try other menu items.
Really great food. The cheeseburger and onion rings were excellent. Tge service was friendly and attentive. Would have loved to have tried their breakfast menu but they stop serving that at 10:30 am. For a restaurant that's only open until 2 pm, breakfast should be served the whole time. Just my personal opinion. Definitely recommend stopping there for lunch.
